Let Sleeping Dogs Lie is the first project in the SaveUrEyes anthropology. A series of urgent visuals unravelling systemic pain in three unconnected characters. Working with dance artists Ezra Owen, Victoria Shulungu and Jordan Douglas, each chapter in the Let Sleeping Dogs Lie trilogy sits as its own story exploring faith, identity and societal pressures.

Chapter #1
DOG’S CHILD

Sometimes I think pain is just a lack of understanding. If we could only understand it all, would we feel no pain? God must feel no pain
— J Cole

Chapter #2
DRY ONE’S EYES

We were all born so beautiful, the greatest tragedy is being convinced we are not
— Rupi Kaur

Chapter #3
DAD'S SKIN

I walk with a limp ‘cause I’ve been wrestling with the Holy Ghost
Deep end of this pit but still somehow, I keep on floating on
Thought I lost my grip but God reminded me it’s holy
— Lecrae
